On Saturday we slept in a little, then eventually headed out for ice skating lessons. The kids have SO much fun - there's a little instruction and a LOT of just playing around and trying out what they learn, and they get to hang out with their friends Ally and Rachel, which makes it even better. They really look forward to lesson days.
Sunday morning Adam had to work EARLY, so he may have gotten 3 hours of sleep! The kids and I slept in, though, until around 9 and then just spent a very lazy day at home together. Jacob wasn't feeling too hot - sore throat and a headache, etc. Bummer. I scrapbooked again (I'm working really hard at finishing up my 2005 pictures!) and Abby even joined me for a while. She's got a very artistic streak in her. Jacob sat and colored for a while, too. They watched some movies, played with toys, did some homework, etc. Adam was actually home mid-afternoon (he usually stays and works for the Lifeline service), so the kids sat with him and watched a movie. Adam also rented the Transformers video game for Jacob to try out - he was a pretty happy camper! In the evening I ran over to mom's to drop something off and pick up another bookshelf (she's cleaning house now that she has Katie and Steve). Got a tour of all the changes being made in the house - Steve has the basement and has rearranged, hung a drop-ceiling, and sunk his tv and other components in the wall under the stairs - looks pretty cool! Mom gets to keep most of the main floor (hehe) and Katie has the attic room upstairs. She's converted it to look like a studio apartment, and it looks really cool. Once they get it all done, it's going to look like a totally different place!
So, that's our weekend in a nutshell. Nothing too exciting, which is pretty much how I like it, at least every now and then!
