Mini Vacation at Great Wolf

Our original plan was to spend the week of the 4th Up North with the fam, but when that didn't work out, we juggled some things around and made some last minute plans to head over to Sandusky for a couple of days at an indoor waterpark resort. Great Wolf Lodge was the one we picked, and so we packed up the car and headed out on the 5th.

The kids were shocked by what they found once we got there - we had told them we were going to an indoor waterpark, but since they had never been to one, they really didn't know what to expect. They kept asking if we'd get to go in and use the pool. Uh...yeah. Once we changed and headed in, they didn't hesitate to jump right in.

This place ended up being a great choice because there wasn't anything there that our kids couldn't do. They tried every one of the slides and activities - many times. They even parked in the hottub a couple of times. All of the water park activities were indoors, which ended up being good because it was actually chilly outside the first couple of days - we figured this out when we went to use the outdoor pool. Today, however, it warmed up enough that sitting outside was more than comfortable and the kids had a great time swimming like fish before we headed back inside for a few last times down the slides. It was a great, relaxing, memory-making few days that we all enjoyed a lot. Our next family vacation can't come soon enough. More pics here.
